LOUIS MATUTE est reconnu par ses pairs comme l’un des guitaristes de jazz et jazzmen suisses les plus intéressants du moment. Il fait aujourd’hui partie des artistes de la Fondation Montreux Jazz et est Artistes Associés à l’Abri. Il est lauréat du prix du Cully Jazz Festival, du concours Jazz Contrebande ainsi que du ZKB Audience Jazz Award à Zürich. Musicien éclectique et sideman de plusieurs projets à styles différents, ces collaborations lui ont permis de se produire sur des scènes prestigieuses : Cully Jazz Festival, Salle Pleyel, Jazz Onze+, Montreux Jazz Festival, Jazz à Vienne... Passionné par la musique brésilienne et sa relation historique avec la guitare, Louis a invité le grand guitariste et chanteur brésilien TONINHO HORTA, pour une collaboration en vue d’une tournée européenne. Le programme sera conçu et préparé lors d’une résidence de trois jours à Genève avant le concert. Toninho Horta, légendaire guitariste, compositeur et chanteur est un des piliers fondateurs de la musique populaire brésilienne (MPB). Actif depuis 1968, il participe au fameux Clube de Esquina de Nascimento et Lô Borges. Il se produit avec les grands noms brésiliens et internationaux tels que Tom Jobim, Gal Costa, Chico Buarque, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Brad Mehldau ou encore Keith Jarrett.
